Hi, I'm Nick. Book a split system with me and I'm the one who sizes it up, fits it and comes back to service it down the track. One person the whole way, no subbies, no surprises.
A split system is the simplest way to cool and heat a single room or open living area on the Gold Coast, quick to install and cheap to run. I install and service split systems across the Gold Coast and Tweed, and because I do the work myself, the person who quotes your job is the same person who fits it and looks after it.
A split system comes in two parts. A slim unit mounts on your wall inside, and a compressor sits outside. Refrigerant pipes run between the two, and that's the "split" in the name. Because it's a reverse cycle, the same unit cools you down in summer and warms you up in winter. One wall unit looks after one room or open area, so it suits bedrooms, home offices, living rooms and extensions where you don't need the whole house running.
A split system suits you when you want to sort out one room without a big spend. Here's what you get:
Not every home needs the same setup, and I'll tell you straight what suits yours.
The quickest, cheapest way to fix one room, like the main bedroom or the lounge.
Several indoor units running off one outdoor unit, so you cover a few rooms without a compressor outside each one.
The whole house handled from a single system with a built-in look.
When I come out to quote, I'll look at your rooms and how you live, then give you an honest recommendation. Sometimes that's one split, sometimes two, sometimes a multi-head or ducted. You're getting advice, not a sales pitch.
With a lot of air conditioning companies, the person who sells you the job isn't the one who fits it, and neither is the one who picks up the phone later. I keep the whole thing under one roof.
From the first quote to every service after, you're dealing with me. I learn your place and how you like it run, so you're never repeating yourself to a stranger.
I do the planning up front, so the figure on your quote is what you actually pay. If something I couldn't have seen crops up, I stop and talk it through with you before going ahead.
If a tired old unit is better off replaced than repaired, or a smaller system would do you fine, I'll say so. Seventeen years on the tools is what you're really paying for.
Brielle and I run Constant Cooling together. Plenty of my work comes through word of mouth and repeat customers, which is the only kind of reputation worth having.
For the best in quality and reliability, I fit Mitsubishi Electric and Daikin. The Mitsubishi Electric wall split is my best seller, and for good reason. If you'd rather keep the spend down without giving up dependable cooling, I fit Midea, Gree or TCL. Either way, I'll lay out the trade-offs for your room and your budget, then leave the final call to you.
Five steps from the first call to the service that keeps it running.
I come out, look at the room, work out where the indoor and outdoor units should sit, and give you a fixed price in plain English.
Happy with the quote? A deposit secures it and I order your unit and materials.
I mount the indoor head, set the outdoor unit, run and seal the pipework, then test the whole thing and tidy up before I go.
I'll run you through the remote and settings so you can get the best out of it straight away.
Around six months in, your system gets a complimentary service, then we recommend a yearly one after that. You'll get a reminder a couple of weeks before each is due, and all you do is confirm a time. No forgotten filters, no breakdown on the first hot day.
You're letting me into your home, so here's what backs the work:
Home base is the Gold Coast, and I cover the coast down through Tweed Heads. For the right job I'll travel further too, to Brisbane, the Northern Rivers, Toowoomba and Warwick. Not sure whether you're in range? Give me a call and I'll let you know.
Still not sure about something? Ask me directly and I'll give you a straight answer.
It depends on the size of the unit, the room and the brand you choose. A small bedroom split costs less than a large unit for an open living area. I'll give you a fixed quote after I've seen the space, so you know the real number before you commit.
Most single splits are done in a day, often a morning. If the run between the indoor and outdoor unit is long or tricky, I'll tell you up front how long to allow.
It comes down to the size of the room, how much sun it gets and how well it's sealed. Too small and it struggles, too big and you waste money. I'll size it properly when I quote so it's matched to the room. A single split is built for one room or open area, so if you want a few rooms covered I'll point you towards a multi-head or ducted system.
Mitsubishi Electric and Daikin for the best quality and reliability, or Midea, Gree and TCL for dependable cooling at a lower price. Everything I install comes with a 12-month workmanship warranty, plus the manufacturer's warranty passed straight on to you.
